Earl of Laori – non-alcoholic tea cocktail

Earl Grey is one of the most popular teas in the world. A black tea that is flavoured with the fine, fragrant oil of bergamot . The Earl Grey is characterized by its citrus notes and the fruity taste of bergamot gives it freshness and a floral  Aroma. It has its origins in a English noble house, but even here it is no longer out of the tea - The range is indispensable. Legend has it that the tea was discovered in a shipping accident. The Chinese tea was being transported to England by ship and a violent storm swirled the crates around. Black tea was mixed with bergamot oil and Baron Charles Grey, known as Earl Grey the Second in English, could not bring himself to throw away the expensive tea. So he tried the mixture and Earl Grey tea was discovered!

The tea tastes great with Laori  Juniper No 1 1, as the citrus bergamot notes of the Laori  No. 1 The aromas of the Earl Grey are emphasized and it quickly becomes a non-alcoholic drink with tea. The delicious drink is rounded off by the tanginess of the ginger ale and the delicate sweetness of the maple syrup.

Recipe non-alcoholic drink with tea - Earl of Laori

Ingredients

  • 4 cl Earl Grey Infused Laori  Juniper No 1
  • 4 cl Earl Grey tea (cold)
  • 1 cl maple syrup 
  • Ginger Ale
  • ice cubes

Glass & Decoration

  • tumbler glass and fresh orange zest for decoration

preparation

  • Cold Earl Grey tea with Laori  Juniper No 1  and maple syrup into a glass with ice cubes and stir. 
  • Top up with ginger ale and garnish with fresh orange zest. Enjoy!
